{Image Courtesey of Flickr User: Badger Bazzrett}Hope you had a lovely weekend! I did - Boyfriend and I hopped on a ferry to Brownsea Island, a nature reserve just off the coast of Poole. It's stunning out there - so much so that the BBC filmed Autumnwatch there last autumn. It's well worth a visit - we wandered round the island hand in hand, exploring all its nooks and crannies, and had a picnic on top of a cliff, looking out to sea.
The island is famous for being one of the last homes of red squirrels. We didn’t see any sadly, but we saw lots of other beautiful creatures, including jays - which I always think look magical - peacocks, and terns diving for fish.

You may or may not know that I am learning to cycle - not the balance bit (I mastered that at an early age!), but the actual on road skills bit. Today I went out on the road by myself, without Natalie, my trainer from Sustrans . A fairly busy road may I add, and I survived without incident nor injury! I felt very proud of myself! I'm definitely less scared of cars, but I still have a healthy respect for them.
My spirits were lifted even further when I cycled back to my flat, and found a £10 note lying on the pavement just outside my door! No-one else was around, so I claimed it as mine. If I was rich I would have donated the money to charity, but I'm quite quite poor at the moment, so it couldn't have come at a better time. Lately I've felt like I've had the worst luck in the world as nothing has been going right, so I hope this is a sign that things are beginning to turn around.
Enough about me - how was your weekend?
xx

our weekend consisted of moving boxes and painting out bedroom, boring really! and now I feel like I've not had any time off!
Quick question, how do you post pictures into your blogs?

Yay for learning to cycle! I hope you'll take photos of your rides, once you get comfortable on the road! :) Sounds like a lovely weekend. We went on our usual picnics and treated ourselves to a fancy dinner. I wish it was weekend again...
