Week 11 is the week that boyfriend and I were snowed in, for a whole 6 days (here and here), so to warm you in advance - what you're about to see is the result of cabin fever:
365/71 - This was the view out of our window on Monday. I was still in love with the snow at this point.
365/72 - My Eric Cardle pop-up Advent Calendar. I love it. And yes, I am nearly thirty.
365/73 - It snowed a lot more on Wednesday. A lot lot more.
365/74 - On Thursday it got difficult to even get outside.
365/75 - On Friday, when we thought we were over the worst of the snow, temperatures dropped down to around minus 18 degrees Celcius (minus 0.4 degrees fahrenheit). Our pipes froze, so we had no water at all. I spent the day heating snow on our stove to try and defrost our pipes.
365/76 - They finally started running buses through our village. Even though I was just going to the DIY store in Linlithgow, I was pretty excited about leaving the village! This is my view as I waited for the bus.
365/77 - I went to visit my parents on the west coast of Scotland. I love their garden. They hadn't had anywhere near as much snow as we did, so the snow looked magical here, as opposed to our evil snow!
Sorry it's not as exciting as previous weeks, the snow seemed to take over our whole lives.
Week twelve to follow tomorrow!
xx

what an amazing calendar!
ReplyDeleteand the picture of you melting snow made me laugh!
Ohh, I thought we had a lot of snow, but I guess that was nothing... and now it's all gone... yeah!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, burst pipes, nightmare! I didn't realise it had got as cold as minus 18! bet you are glad it's over now! I just hope it doesn't all kick off again!
ReplyDeleteWe had that calendar last year!
Oh wow! And here I am complaining about a few inches of snow! I hope your weekend was incredible!
ReplyDeleteI want the snow to piss off now! Poor you having frozen pipes, that sounds awful. But all your snow photos are GORGEOUS. So at least something good came out of it :) x x
ReplyDeletecrazy! the advent calendar is cute :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I totally get it when snow takes over your life. Amazingly, I never had a snow day even when I lived in Utah. You walked, drove, and played in the snow like it was nothing. I hated that.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I love it. I know your going a little nutty being held in by the snow. But I think being in the desert I crave those kinda of adventures as opposed to my eyes burning when I walk outisde to get the mail lol.
ReplyDeleteWow that snow's amazing. But i share your burst pipes woes, ours did the same a while ago! Love the advent calendar too.
