Snowed In...

...for three days equals rosy cheeks, old movies, hot cups of tea and hot chocolate, blankets, hats, scarves, mittens, feeding birds, and walks with my camera.

Feeding the birds in my garden.  They were pretty hungry little fellows.

 Tree in my garden

 The lane by my house

 Red Berries

 Fields behind my house

The village church looking quite Dickensian.

The path down to the canal.

We got about 2 feet of snow in just a couple of days, 12 inches of which fell in two hours, which is unusual for Scotland and especially for this time of year.  I loved it.  Would it be wrong to ask for more?

  2. Oooh, pretty! It all looks so pristine still. Where I live it's been moved about so much, its all in random mounds with slush underneath. City centre I guess!

  6. seeing your post makes me so excited for the first snow around here! I heard on the radio that it was possible later this week, but living on the coast, most likely not... I love walking in the woods in winter, such a magical faeryland! and it is so still and quiet and sells so new!

  12. wow - that is so amazingly beautiful. I could only hope and wish for snow like that in Texas..

Last year we got a RECORD of 13 inches in one day, but then it melted quickly after that - very depressing.
