...the words 'smile' and 'January' don't often go together, at least not in my book anyway, but this year I'm determined to beat the gloom and keep smiling, because everything's better when faced with a smile, no?
So here's what's making me smile this January:
Cosy hats and gloves
Cuddles with boyfriend to keep warm
The sound of snow crunching under my feet
Tea (because tea always tastes better when it's cold out), especially rooibos vanilla tea
Writing letters to far off friends
Friends that are expecting babies so very soon
Moving furniture around, to ease the pain of taking down the Christmas decorations
Giving old furniture a new lease of life
Friendly neighbours
Good books
Tom Petty nights with boyfriend (we love Tom Petty and BBC4 have been running some great music documentaries lately)
Goats cheese and roasted vegetable pizza (my all time favourite)
What's making you smile this January? E-mail me your list (red.boots at hotmail.co.uk) and I'll share it with Red Boots readers throughout January, in my mission to keep us all smiling :)
xx

This is such a good idea! I would love to contribute!

ReplyDeleteI tend to find February the crappier of the winter months as Jan usually has a fair amount of decent stuff going on. Must start to plan fun things to make sure that this Feb is better than that last few.
Goat cheese and roasted vegetable pizza sound like it would be my my all time fav. too! i'd also love to contribute. such a cute idea.
